The project “Rights and Resilience: Empowering Georgia’s Community for Inclusive Change” is led by AFEW International and its Georgian partners – Equality Movement and Tanadgoma.

The project activities aim to enhance CSOs’ capacities and boost social inclusion through community engagement. Emphasis is placed on empowering the most marginalized and stigmatized communities, especially those outside of the capital. Multi-level networking and cooperation will impact both the communities’ capacities and the societal attitudes. As a result, the project seeks to establish a more equitable and inclusive Georgian society, ensuring that all individuals enjoy equal full rights, opportunities, and societal participation without discrimination or exclusion.

The main methods and principles of this project implementation include:

  1. Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD)
  2. Comprehensive capacity building that combines theory with practice
  3. Rural outreach and engagement
  4. Community-led advocacy and campaigning
