Dutch-based non-governmental organisation AFEW International, together with Samarkand-based non-governmental organisation Nurbonu Center, is implementing the project “Empowering Voices for Inclusive Development: Strengthening CSOs from Uzbekistan Working with Women and Youth”, with the financial support of the European Union. The project aims to strengthen the role of local Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) as governance and development actors in Uzbekistan.
We invite CSOs from Fergana region, Namangan region, Samarkand region, and Tashkent region and city to submit applications that serve women, youth, and people living with or affected by HIV. For Call for Proposal details and Eligibility criteria, please refer to the Application Guidelines .
Deadline for submission: June 15th, 2025 at 17:00 CET.
A key element of the methodology is the application of the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. This approach emphasizes that community-based organizations and members should take control of their own development by identifying and utilizing their strengths, resources, and potential (their “assets”). More information about the ABCD approach can be found in the reference document: ABCD Description.
Proposals may be submitted in Russian, English, or Uzbek. Please note that proposals submitted in Uzbek will be translated into Russian. (The application forms in the Uzbek language will be available shortly).
