The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tbilisi announced a call for proposals of the Local Transition Projects (LTP), the framework of the support of human rights and democracy. The program aims to support non-governmental organizations that promote human rights and democracy by the actions in the following areas: Support for civil society, including human rights defenders; Freedom of expression, including the media, free access to information; Broader and equal citizen participation in public and political life; Development of rule of law institutions; Equality and non-discrimination and Support for respect for human rights in business through good working conditions.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Armenia has launched the annual call for proposals for the Local Transition Projects 2024. The program aims to support democracy and human rights, using the Czech Republic’s experience with the social transition and democratisation.

3. Accelerate and promote responsible introduction of new DR-TB drugs and regimens
Accelerate and promote the responsible introduction of new DR-TB drugs and regimens.
Unitaid, the initiative making new health products available and affordable for people in low- and middle-income countries, opened the Call for Proposals aimed at maximizing the number of people cured of drug-resistant TB by supporting the introduction and scale-up of new treatment regimens. Eligible projects should focus on interventions encompassing community-led strategies for stimulating demand while simultaneously advancing human rights, equity, and quality of services within the national TB programs and, where feasible, the broader health systems and private sector (Area 1) or Interventions to support countries in implementing innovative and targeted strategies for enhancing the quality of TB services and care, case-finding and/or resistance monitoring (Area 2).

4. Flexible Response Mechanism – CSOs engagement in democratisation
The fund supports civil society actors from the Eastern Neighbourhood Countries (ENC) in increasing their capabilities to engage in democratic organisation and dialogue, taking advantage of positive political developments and/or protecting their work in case of shrinking civic space.

5. Feminist Approaches to Anti-Corruption
Global Fund for Women opened a new funding opportunity for financing the projects to explore feminist approaches to anti-corruption. Proposals from groups, organisations, collectives, and networks should be eager to learn, share, and wrestle with questions to prevent and mitigate corruption.
