Today, on the 1st of December, World AIDS Day, AFEW International is celebrating its 22th anniversary!
22 years ago, our organization was officially established to promote health and increase the access of key populations to prevention, treatment and care for major public health concerns such as HIV, TB, viral hepatitis, and sexual and reproductive health in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Since then together with our partners we have carried out many projects in countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, we helped thousands of people and changed their lives. Our mission today is providing support and a strong international voice on rights and on health access to underserved populations in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Let’s stay in touch and work together for a world in which underserved populations gain access to health care free from stigma and discrimination.
