On August 24, the “Woman of Her Dreams” training was held at the PF Answer (Kazakhstan).

The event was held in the framework of the project “Combating stigma to end HIV/AIDS in EECA” supported within Gilead’s Zeroing In: Ending the HIV Epidemic program.

The training was attended by 7 women who are seeking development, awareness and personal growth. “Usually we share our experiences, our passions, looking into the past and the future, but we forget about ourselves, about our feelings here and now! The training helps us to change it” – writes training participant Ksenia.

The project “Combating stigma to end HIV/AIDS in EECA”  is implemented by the AFEW Partnership (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Netherlands, Russia, Ukraine) and aims to reduce self-stigma of women living with HIV and affected by HIV and to change societal attitudes towards them through reducing social stigma.

As part of the project, AFEW Kazakhstan with partners will conduct psychologist-led activities for women in Kazakhstan related to mental health, stigma, and self-stigma. In addition, community research and information campaign will be conducted in 4 countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Russia) as part of the project.
