The NCHIV 2023

The 16th Netherlands Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Epidemiology, Prevention and Treatment (NCHIV) will take place at the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) in Amsterdam on Tuesday 28 November 2023.

The plenary sessions and speakers:

  • Mathias Lichterfeld, Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, United States
    Host and viral factors underlying HIV elite control: implications for approaches to cure
  • Judith Auerbach, Professor of Medicine at University of California, San Francisco, United States
    Community engagement and social sciences: key ingredients for impactful HIV research
  • Jean-Michel Molina, Professor of Infectious Diseases at University of Paris Diderot, Saint-Louis Hospital, Paris, France
    Current and future options for biomedical prevention of HIV and STIs 

Abstract submission: Monday 28 August – Monday 25 September

The NCHIV23 abstract submission portal will open on 28 August and will close at 9am on 25 September 2023. Abstract submissions may include results from original research across all scientific disciplines, relevant to the themes of the conference (HIV pathogenesis, epidemiology, prevention and treatment), and conducted primarily by researchers from Dutch institutions working either in or outside the Netherlands.  Watch out for further details on how to submit your abstract on www.nchiv.org.

NCHIV serves as platform for stakeholders in the Netherlands share and discuss the latest insights and developments in research concerning the pathogenesis, epidemiology, prevention and treatment of HIV. The annual program hosted in English, includes invited lectures, presentations of original research and sessions which link research to societal impact and policy development by a faculty of national and international speakers.
